GARDENING!!!

People used to say, guys who like fish are boring people...
Yeah i like fish,
i love kois....

And lately, worst still, I fell in love with,
Gardening...yes....i'm a super boring guy....:P

But then, i realize something, I have green fingers!
So here goes....plants are just like hidden treasures...just need some watering, feeding, pruning, trimming and some knowledge about its nature, and that's all needed to grow money out of soil! yes, nowadays plants cost so much! A simple plant like the water jasmine shown later would costs easily 4-5k and above!

With the power of internet, plenty of knowledge can be acquired by just a simple click away...

Some simple effort needed and let nature runs its own course, and the plants will turn into treasures~:)
So I'm gonna share abit on fertilizers....
It comes in slow or fast releasing form, and NPK (its component) ratio. Which is Nitrogen(urea), Phosphorus and Pottasium (Kalium).

And do u know about the plant Willow tree? something which may be related to medicine is that the tree has contributed to the discovery of Aspirin! And lately it has been used to obtain a growing agent for plants, which is Auxin, which is the growth enzyme for rooting and branch formations...and hence used for growth inducing agent in gardening...

Ok, i know i know...gardening is indeed boring....
so here are some photos to share with u guys...

This plant is Bougonvillae, in mandarin- paper flower... Not much water needed, or the roots will rot....this is Taiwan species....more flowers, with mixed coloured leaves....This one's a 'fat choi' plant....chinese can really name stuff....everything nice they'll name them, fat choi, ah choi, kam choi, ngan ji, etc etc etc...all related to money money money....
This is a long abandoned christmas tree and has been shaped and pruned to bonsai style~

As said earlier, this is a shui mei (water jasmine)....very good plant for giant bonsai style...and need little care...

Water jasmine flower...

Another long abandoned plant pruned into bonsai style...

This, is fu gui hua(wealth flower in mandarin)....it is called the desert rose...not much water needed but plenty of sun shine is pivotal....note the pebbels....it increases the temperature of the soil to reduce moisture!
SO, 'gardening aint that boring afterall?'
OR, 'ewww stupid blog entry....bored to death....'
haha...cheerz

The Secret of Change

So, for the past weekend, I've spent it assisting my uncle, Dr Victor SL Tan- A man who is positive, courageous, optimistic and yet calm in everything he does. He is the managing director of a corporate company, KL Strategic. The seminar was a 3 days 2 nights stay in Ipoh, Clearwater Golf and Country, in a chalet! cool...

So this was the chalet i stayed in,

With such great view...

The talk was about management, company vision, mission, ASOT analysis, all in which was totally unrelated to my field, but yet, there're alot of words which has inspired me.

So what does this got to do with the title 'The Secret of Change'?

okay this is one of the books written by him, and it consists of poems, related to "Changing Mindset". The launching of this book will be on 6th of Nov. And you can get this book from MPH. =)

One of my favourite is "The True Secret":

A book of Rhonda Bryne's invention-
The Secret- gets much attention,
Hyped up as a way of wealth creation,
It postulates that The Law of Attraction,
Through visualization,
will cause the vibration,
To result in the creation,
Of all your heart's aspirations.

I say, the Law of Attraction,
Will not work without action;
To succeed, we need a clear direction,
A focus without mental distraction,
A constant march towards our destination.

We need to build a close relation,
with others we are in association.
To help each other achieve one's mission,
We need to overcome frcition,
Reduce tension, as we climb in ascension.

Truly, action is the way of realization,
of the goals to achieve our ambition;
without it, visualization is mere illusion.
A true achiever is not a magician,
But one of passion with concrete action.

By Dr Victor SL Tan.

Inspired? haha. Be positive, optimistic, couragious, and above all, change.

To be able to self improve, is to be open to critism, willingness to self reflect, and the ability to,
change...
